Responding to newly proposed federal standards for vehicle greenhouse gas emissions and fuel economy, Robert Bienenfeld, senior manager, environment & energy strategy, American Honda Product Regulatory Office, provided testimony at a public hearing in Los Angeles, October 27, 2009. The hearing was convened by the US EPA and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the federal agencies charged with promulgating new GHG and fuel economy rules.

Formerly a last resort for low-achieving students, Singapore’s Institute of Technical Education (ITE) underwent a 10-year reform plan revamping irrelevant curriculum, upgrading learning environments and instating new academic requirements for current teachers. The program is the 2007 recipient of the IBM Innovations Award in Transforming Government.
