Why is everyone hating on american cars these days?

I was just wondering.
Alot of people say because of mpgs, focus vs civic = same mpgs. Is it the fact that they make real muscle cars?
I’ve heard of reliability too, but ANY car can make it to 200k with regular maintanence (well maybe not a chevette)
Idk, I don’t base liking a car off it’s origin or make cause it doesn’t really make sense to me that way.

american cars are made by lazy, sloppy workers who need to be disciplined to do a better job

most cars right now are made from japan
japan is about 2 years ahead in technology compared to america
japan uses this technology for their cars and their cars are more clean, and have better reliability
japanese cars only need maintainence twice a year

Well its not because of their manufacture is that american cars or should i say manufactures could and make better cars but they dont want to. Why?! i dont know now and days japan cars are not cheap but is worth your money because their really cheap on gas and more reliable then americans cars. Dont get me wrong, i love american muscle i just wish they can bring back the old school style with new technology in it.

It must be due to American car mfgr’s. recent history’s, remember all the recalls?
And, for us older folks, we remember the cars from the ’70’s / 80’s &that they were poorly designed & manufactured (ie. the Chevy Chevette / Chrysler’s "Lean Burn" engine). At that time it seemed to me that the U.A.W. members were there for a paycheck, while their respective work ethics went out the window.

race fans usually dont like the fact they are USDM and not imported, others may just hate on them for the fact they are expensive, and they are gas guzzlers

American cars are getting better. For a while they didn’t make them as good as before, but they got the ball rolling again.

Everybody believes these myths that Imports have more status and never break down.Believe me the preventative maintanance on my Lexus is driving me to the poor house
