How do I disassemble the diecast Disney Pixar Cars?

I really want to customize the disney pixar diecast cars to add to my huge collection but I don’t know how to disassemble and reassemble them to make them look better. The same goes for my collection of 1/ 64 th scale Nascar diecast racecars.
